The gatherings of this delightful order are called Tabernacles, and are where the ceremony of admitting a Knight Templar Priest is worked. The remaining 31 degrees are conferred in name only in a short but impressive part of the ceremony.
A Tabernacle is composed of the following Officers;
Very Eminent High Priest (HP), who is seated in the East,
Recorder (Secretary),
Director of Ceremonies,
Treasurer,
VII Pillar
VI Pillar
Conductor,
Assistant Director of Ceremonies (optional),
V Pillar
IV Pillar
III Pillar
II Pillar
I Pillar
Organist (optional),
Keeper of the Inner Porch, at the door, and
Sentinel, outside the door.
Stewards (optional)
The seven Pillars are stationed in a triangle, with the seventh Pillar in the East.
Each Pillar is provided with a stand, upon which is a copy of the ritual, and a lamp.
The stand of the First Pillar is Green;
Second Pillar is Light Blue;
Third Pillar is Grey;
Fourth Pillar is Dark Blue;
Fifth Pillar is Red;
Sixth Pillar is Black;
Seventh Pillar is White, and
The High Priest's Pillar is in the East, and to the North of the Altar, and is coloured Gold
A Knight Templar Priest wears a white tunic with a red cross on the front, a plain white mantle and a mitre with a cross on the front and back.
